At Gates Resolution Co., we believe that conflict isn't an obstacle—it's an opportunity for growth. We work with schools, businesses, and organizations across the Pacific Northwest to build productive organizations.

About Scout - Founder of Gates Resolution Co.

Scout Gates is a Certified Professional Mediator (CPM), communication coach, and conflict resolution specialist dedicated to helping individuals, organizations, and communities navigate difficult conversations and build stronger relationships.

With a Bachelor's degree in Communication, a Certificate in Dispute Resolution, and extensive experience in mediation, Scout has successfully worked with parties involved in family disputes, employer-employee conflicts, doctor-patient concerns, company-customer disagreements, and building and land disputes. As an Ada County Small Claims Mediator and former Canyon County Mediation Coordinator, she developed and managed mediation programs, coordinated with judges, agencies, interns, and court dockets, and maintained an exceptional settlement rate.

Scout's approach is rooted primarily in transformative mediation, with additional expertise in facilitative mediation practices. Rather than simply resolving disputes, she helps people improve communication, restore trust, and create lasting solutions that address the underlying issues driving conflict.

Today, Scout serves as a communication coach and conflict resolution educator, teaching Conflict Resolution Education (CRE) and empowering students, staff, and organizations to effectively manage their own conflicts. Her work focuses on restoring relationships, strengthening organizational culture, increasing psychological safety, and promoting long-term organizational health.

Whether working with individuals, families, schools, businesses, or community organizations, Scout is passionate about helping people move from conflict toward understanding, collaboration, and meaningful resolution.
